Meet Our Very Handsome Kitty, ID# 812196
This charming boy first arrived at the shelter as a tiny kitten in July 2025. Back then, he was considered a little “spicy” and feral, but with patience, gentle care, and a lot of encouragement, he began to learn that people aren’t so bad after all.
Now 8 months old, he’s ready to find a home of his very own.
He can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but once he gets comfortable, his sweet side really shines. He loves gentle head scratches and affection, and will happily hang out nearby once he knows he can trust you.
This handsome guy is fairly independent and prefers to keep all four paws on the ground. He’s not a big fan of being picked up or manhandled. Instead, he enjoys doing his own thing and showing affection on his own terms.
When it comes to playtime, though, his kitten energy comes out. He loves chasing toy mice and string toys and will happily entertain himself — and you — with his playful antics.
He isn’t the biggest fan of other cats, but with very slow introductions, he may be able to warm up to the right feline friend.
For the past two months, he’s been spending time at the Jefferson College Veterinary Technology program, where he received lots of care and attention. He is now fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, dewormed, and up to date on flea and tick prevention.
His adoption fee is only $50, and he can go home as soon as an application is completed.
