Campaign Announcement
HILLSBORO, MO — David Broach announces candidacy for Missouri House District 114
David Broach, a longtime Jefferson County resident, business leader, and former state representative, announced today that he is running for Missouri State Representative in House District 114. Broach previously served in the Missouri House from 1993 to 1999, a period when Republicans were in the minority. His tenure is remembered by supporters for principled leadership, strong conservative convictions, and efforts to advance reforms despite challenging political odds.
Broach also said he hopes to honor the legacy of the late Representative Ken Waller, describing him as a dedicated public servant whose commitment to Jefferson County left a lasting impact. “Our community lost a true leader,” Broach said. “I am committed to continuing the work he cared so deeply about and serving our district with integrity and purpose.”
A Lifetime of Service, Leadership, and Conservative Values
Born in Lafayette, Indiana, Broach graduated from Thorntown High School in 1971 and Vincennes University in 1973 with an Associate’s Degree in Land Title. He later completed Lawyers Title’s Advanced Management Development Program in 1983.
Broach married his high-school sweetheart, Carolyn, in 1972. They have two children, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. The Broach family has lived in Jefferson County since 1985.
Broach has been a member of First Baptist Church of Arnold for 40 years, where he served as a Sunday school teacher and participated in numerous ministries. He has received the Outstanding Service & Leadership Award from the Arnold Chamber of Commerce, served as an Arnold Rotarian, and contributed to the Missouri Civil Air Patrol as an aviator instructor. His public service also includes time on the Mil Tax Board and the Rock Township Ambulance Board.
A Career Built on Hard Work and Real-World Expertise
Broach’s professional background includes more than five decades in land title, real estate, and business management. His roles have included:
Field Chief, William Elsie, Inc. (1971–1973)
Lawyers Title Insurance Corp. (1973–1984), from Title Examiner to Branch Manager
Vice President roles, Lawyer Title Company of Missouri (1985–1989)
Owner, Rock Title Consulting (1989–1999)
General Manager, US Title St. Charles (1999–2000)
Hillsboro Title Company (2000–2003)
Owner & Underwriter, Old Title and Escrow, Belleville, IL (2003–2016)
Managing Member, Fairfield–Broach, LLC (2021–present)
Broach said his experience, combined with prior legislative service, provides a seasoned perspective on policy, regulation, property rights, and the needs of Missouri families and businesses.
A Conservative Fighter Ready to Serve Again
“With the direction our state and nation are headed, it’s time to bring experienced, steady, conservative leadership back to Jefferson County,” Broach said. “I’ve served before when Republicans had to fight from the minority, and I’m ready to fight again for the values we share — faith, family, fiscal responsibility, and protecting our freedoms.”
Broach said his campaign will focus on strengthening families, defending constitutional rights, protecting parental authority, supporting law enforcement, and promoting economic growth grounded in conservative fiscal principles.
“I know how Jefferson City works—and I know how badly it needs leaders with backbone,” Broach said. “I’m running to fight for conservative principles, restore accountability, and ensure the next generation inherits a Missouri full of opportunity—not excuses.”
